Comparison of selected parameters in Barbora Krejčíkova's matches at the French Open 2021

Title: Comparison of selected parameters in Barbora Krejčíkova's matches at the French Open 2021 Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is comparing the selected parameters in each Barbora Krejčíkova's match at the French Open 2021. I compare following parameters: the pace of the game, the count of the selected rallies (after serve from the left side and from the right side, after first serve and second serve), the count of winners in the selected rallies and the place from where the winner was played (baseline or net). Methods: The main method in this thesis is notational system analyses. It is an indirect observation of video records. The records contain all seven matches with Barbora Krejčíková at the French Open 2021. The monitored variables are the pace of the game (count as rally time divided by number of shots in that rally), how many of selected rallies was played after: serve from left side, serve from right side, first serve, second serve and count of winners from the selected rallies played from the baseline or from the net. Pace in women's singles matches in tennis on Australian Open 2017

Title of the thesis: Pace of game in women's single tennis matches at Australian Open 2017 Aim of the thesis: The aim of the thesis is to find out pace of game in women's single tennis matches at Australian Open 2017. Other partial objectives are folowing: compare pace of game in the first, the second and the third round matches with pace of game in quarterfinal, semifinal and final matches, compare pace of game in individual sets and also compare pace of game after the first and the second serve. Methods used in the thesis: The main method was notational analysis based on indirect observation of video records of 23 matches at Australian Open 2017. Rally duration, number of shots in the rally and time between points were measured during the matches. Pace of game and work-rest ratio within the game were calculated. Achieved results: Mean pace of game was 1,21  0,21 s. Mean rally duration was 5,43  4,10 s. Mean number of shots in the rally was 4,47  3,00 shots. Mean time between points was 21,24  3,69 s. Mean work-rest ratio within the game was 1 : 4,03  5,41. The difference between final and initial round matches was 0,07 s, in favour of final round matches. The game pace in tennis in the women's category at the Prague Open 2021

Title: The game pace in tennis in the women's category at the Prague Open 2021. Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to find out what is the tempo of the game at Prague Open 2021, to compare the difference in the tempo of the game in matches from the first rounds and from the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. Methods: The method of indirect observation is used in this thesis. In total, 14 matches were analysed to evaluate the average of individual variables at Prague Open 2021. The total number of players was N = 14 with an average placement of WTA M = 12 ± 226. The monitored variables consist of (rally time, time out length and the number of hits). The game pace was calculated from the rally game and the number of hits. Results: The average game pace is 1,139 s at Prague Open 2021. The average rally length is 5, 79 s, the average number of hits is 21,68 s. In this thesis the first rounds of the tournament were compared to the final rounds. Analysis of squash rally pace in men's and women's matches

Title: Analysis of squash rally pace in male and women matches Objectives: This paper aims to evaluate the game pace of squash from the perspective of various factors, such as: gender of players, difference between winners and losers, number of strikes within different height levels of front wall, average duration of a rally, and types of strikes. Methods: The main method used to achieve the objectives of this thesis is the notational analysis. This method is based on observing the available video recordings - there were 25 of these, obtained from different PSA tournaments in years 2017 - 2020. We were sampling data about the duration of a rally, number and type of strikes and a duration of each type. Subsequently, we deducted information about the pace of the game and used it to further analyze and interpret the pace in relation to possible variables.. Results: The objective of the paper has been completed, as we have answered all the research questions. The average pace of the serve is 1.345 seconds for men and 1.388 seconds for women, while the average duration of rally is 25.06 seconds for male players and 17.22 seconds for female players. The results suggest that the game pace, its relevant variables, game development and final results are different for male and female squash players....

Title: Comparison of selected characteristics of men's matches on international level of a lower category Objectives: The objective of this thesis is to find out what the game pace was at Maia Open 2019 and at RPM Prague Open 2019, and to compare the difference in game pace from matches in the first rounds to matches in the final rounds of the tournament (the semifinal and final), then compare match characteristics between tournaments and find out effect of a serve on game pace. Methods: The methods used in this thesis are indirect observation and system notation analysis. When evaluating the overall average of all variables from 10 matches at Maia Open 2019, the number of players was N = 17, with an average placement of ATP M = 442,8 ± 272,0. When evaluating the overall average of all variables from 10 matches at RPM Prague Open 2019, the number of players was N = 13, thereof players N = 8 with an average placement of ATP M = 529,0 ± 77,6 and players N = 5 with an average placement of ITF M = 832,6 ± 578,6. The monitored variables were rally time, time out length and the number of hits. The game pace was calculated from the rally time and the number of hits. Title: Rally pace and match chatracteristics in tennis on international level Objectives: The aim of our work is to find out, which rally pace is in tournament of ITF Men's World Tennis Tour called Milovice Indoor Open 2019 and compare our results with past results analyzed on Australian Open 2017. Methods: The method of this thesis is indirect observation and follow-up notational analysis. We were collecting data about number of strikes, time of rally, time between points and relationship load. The rally pace was calculated from time of rally and number of strikes. The relationship load was calculated from time between points and time of rally. Results: The rally pace was on tournament of ITF Men's World Tennis Tour in Milovice in 2019 1,27 seconds. Average number of strikes was 4,84, average time of rally was 6,18 seconds, average time between points was 22,34 seconds and average relationship load was 1:3,72. We compare our results with measured results at Australian Open 2017 and average rally pace was in our research slower by 0,05 seconds. The pace of the game in the women's tennis singles at the US Open 2018

Thesis name: The pace of the game in the women's tennis singles at the US Open 2018. The purpose of thesis: The purpose of this thesis is finding the pace of the game in rally at the US Open 2018 in the women's tennis singles and comparing the pace of the game in rally after the first serve and after the second serve. Also we want to compare the pace of the opening and closing games, similarly we want to compare the pace of the game in rally in matches with the participation of the selected player. Method: The basic method, which has been used in this thesis, is the notational system analysis. The subject of this method was the indirect observing of video recordings 11 women's singles matches at the US Open 2018. The variables monitored were the replacement time and the number of beats in rally. There was a condition for the minimum number of strokes played in rally, which was four or more strokes between players. Based on the recorded data, the pace of the game was calculated by dividing the rally time and beats. Results: The average pace of the game is 1,48 ± 0,06 seconds. The average number of strokes in rally is 6,68 ± 0,9, the average rally time is 9,86 ± 1,35. Title: Analysis of squash games in the Czech Republic Objectives: This paper aims to compare the games from the perspective of pace and to evaluace the pace throughout the sets. Methods: The main method used to achieve the objectives of this thesis is the indirect analysis or, more specifically, videoanalysis. This method is based on observing the available recordings - there were ten of these, obtained from different squash tournaments in the Czech Republic. We were collecting data about the time of rally, number and type of strikes and a duration of each type. Subsequently, we obtained information about the pace of the game from these observations. Results: The objective of the paper has been completed, as we have answered all the research questions. The average pace of the serve is 1.38 seconds, while the average duration of rally is 16.87 seconds. Title: Game pace in tennis at Wimbledon 2017 Objectives: The objective of this thesis is to find out what the game pace was for men at Wimbledon 2017, and to compare the difference in game pace from matches in the first rounds to matches in the final rounds of the tournament (the semifinal and final). Methods: The methods used in this thesis are indirect observation and system notation analysis. When evaluating the overall average of all variables from 7 matches, the number of players was N=12, with an average placement of M=45,09 ± 38,09. The monitored variables were rally time, time out length and the number of hits. The game pace was calculated from the time out length and the number of hits. The relationship load was evaluated from the rally time and the number of hits. Results: The average game pace is 1,27s. The average rally length is 5,33s, the average number of hits is 5,47 and the average time between rallies is 18,9s. In this thesis, the first rounds of Wimbledon 2017 were compared to the final rounds of the tournament, with the average pace being 0,14s faster in the final rounds. The average rally length was 1,85s shorter in the final rounds, the average number of played balls was 1,05 bigger in the first rounds, and the average time between rallies was 0,65s longer in the semifinals...
